Dominique Swift

Dominique Swift is a versatile artist whose work bridges multimedia art, painting, poetry, and digital advertising to offer a fresh lens on the intricacies of Black beauty. Merging traditional techniques with digital innovation, her art positions Black women at the forefront of complex, multidimensional portrayals.

Her artistic journey is propelled by a vision to craft visual narratives that resonate deeply with the domino effect—a concept reflecting her name and the interconnectedness of events and identities. This principle, akin to a series of unfolding dominoes, mirrors Swift's approach to creating art that initiates conversations, influences perceptions, and triggers a chain reaction of recognition and appreciation for Black femininity.

A Philadephia native and University of Pittsburgh alumna, Swift is a regular collaborator with the Rainbow Serpent Collective. She is the Assistant Director for the forthcoming film The Four World Ages and is working on a series of paintings tentatively titled Uli Awakened.
