Antonio Losavio
Antonio Losavio is a veteran educational professional with interests in language learning, international engagement, and social justice.
Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Antonio holds a Doctorate degree in education, with a focus on Teaching English to speakers of other languages, from the university of Central Florida. He also holds degrees from University of Kentucky and University of California Berkeley. His 14 year career as an educational professional includes college advising, high school and university instruction, collaboration with refugee resettlement agencies, and 6 fellowships with the US Department of State.
Antonio is currently a fellow with the US Embassy in Vietnam and is based in Hanoi University of Science and Technology, where he conducts teacher training workshops and instructs courses in American studies, research and professional skills for university students. He previously worked as a US Embassy fellow in Israel, where he conducted teacher training workshops and volunteered for Galilee dreamers, an Arab-Jewish peace project for high-school students in the Galilee region.
His current aspiration is to work for the US Department of State as a Foreign Service Officer. In his spare time, Antonio also DJs South African house music known as Amapiano. He also practices Arabic, Hebrew, Spanish, Portuguese and Vietnamese languages.
