Ashley Eleby
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Eleby began dancing at the age of 3, and she trained at various dance schools around Atlanta. During her youth, she attended summer intensives at Charlotte Ballet (formerly North Carolina Dance Theatre), University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and the International Summer Dance Intensive. Following high school, she went to college at Marymout Manhattan College, earned a BFA in Ballet and a BA in Business, received the Gold Key, an award for academic achievement, and graduated with honors. She was invited to Vancouver to participate in what was formerly Arts Umbrella’s PReP program under the direction of Lesley Telford and was hired for Bard on the Beach by Artemis Gordon. During her studies and travel, she was able to learn and perform repertoire by choreographers such as Jiří Kylián, Crystal Pite, Lesley Telford, William Whitener, and Jon Ole Olstad. After relocating to Atlanta due to the pandemic, she joined Ballethnic as a guest artist and then Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre. She now dances with Charlotte Ballet.
