Dr. Hasani Baharanyi

Dr. Hasani Baharanyi, hailing from Auburn, Alabama, is a husband, father, and son deeply committed to the mental wellness of individuals across all ages. His journey took him from the South to Harvard College, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts, and then to Yale School of Medicine for his M.D. Hasani completed his general psychiatry residency at the prestigious Massachusetts General and McLean Hospitals and later returned to the South to specialize in child and adolescent psychiatry at Emory University.

As a psychoanalytic candidate at the Emory University Psychoanalytic Institute, he enriches his practice with deep psychological insights. Dr. Baharanyi serves as an adjunct faculty member in the psychiatry departments of Emory University School of Medicine and Morehouse School of Medicine, contributing to the future of mental health care. His scholarly contributions include a chapter on Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder in "Pediatric Mental Health Care for Primary Care Providers" and an article for The American Psychoanalyst.

A seasoned speaker, he has presented at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry annual meeting and delivered numerous lectures on child and adolescent development. Residing in Georgia with his husband Kenji, Dr. Baharanyi is thrilled to participate in the art exhibition Myth-Science of the Gatekeepers, embodying his lifelong appreciation for the arts.
