Jerry Ivery Jr.

Jerry Ivery, Jr. is a seasoned legal professional and Chief Operating Officer for MashUp Nashville, where he directs operational, business, and administrative functions with a focus on eliminating health disparities for LGBTQ+ people of color. With a background in law and corporate operations, Jerry served as Director of Procurement for the Tennessee Department of Health and later as Assistant General Counsel for CKE Restaurants and the Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBTQ civil rights organization in the US.

A Summa Cum Laude graduate in Management Information Systems from the University of Memphis, Jerry also holds a Juris Doctor with a certification in Tax Law from the University of Memphis School of Law. Licensed to practice law in Tennessee, he specializes in corporate operations, tax, and contractual matters. Jerry's commitment to social justice led him to MashUp in 2020, where he played a pivotal role in the organization's growth and grant acquisition.

In Spring 2023, he transitioned from his role at HRC to become MashUp's COO, wholeheartedly dedicating his efforts to the organization's mission. Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Jerry's upbringing in a ministry-focused family fueled his passion for community engagement and social activism. His life's narrative, marked by love, compassion, and a steadfast dedication to justice, is a testament to his unwavering commitment to creating a more inclusive world.
