Nathaniel Wilson

Nathaniel Wilson is a dreamer. A world traveler, entrepreneur, and Gen Z storyteller who utilizes the mediums of playwriting, performance, and fashion to share stories that facilitate the expansion of the collective consciousness around ideas and experiences of beauty.

Nathaniel’s story began in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland, where he as a teenager participated in various theater groups and classes. His most impactful theater experiences were both at Centerstage, where he attended Camp Centerstage, and the Encounter youth program. In both programs, he was introduced to theater as a primary tool for community building, storytelling as a healing tool, and the power of non-narrative experimental theater.

Nathaniel graduated from Prescott College in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Arts & Letters. Through his education at Prescott College, he had the pleasure of independently studying with Southeast Asian theatremaker Ruth Pongstaphone, who introduced him to autoethnography, Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed, and Burmese approaches to theater. Through this study, Nathaniel has come to understand the unique approach to theater inherent in his being.

Nathaniel has traveled to Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, and throughout the United States. He was most impacted by his time living in Brazil and Egypt. Inspired by Afro-Brazilian and ancient Egyptian culture, he wrote the play It’s No Ordinary Thing, which is based on his dreams and utilizes immersive 3D holographic projections. That work is currently in production.
