Weslee Glenn

Weslee “Wes” Glenn has spent his career studying plants–how they make molecules we co-opt as medicines, how they respond to stress, and how they can be protected from insects. To date, he has co-authored several patent applications and scientific publications, including work that Plant Physiology designated as a “Breakthrough Technology.” Wes earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from MIT with support from the National Science Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship program. He completed postdoctoral work at Caltech as a Ford Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow and a UNCF/Merck Postdoctoral Fellow. Following his schooling, Wes has worked in biotech and volunteered with several service groups, including the Environmental Advisory Commission for the City of Pasadena, California. When he isn’t focused on building biotech tools, you can find him jogging around Boston or enjoying the local arts scene.
